Remembering Mitch Hedberg's comedy genius today. RIP

The blog is currently being ported from WordPress to over 12 years of static pages of content. If there's an article missing that you're hoping to see, please contact me and let me know and I'll prioritize getting it online.

I helped maintain Mitch’s web site, mitchhedberg.net for several years after his passing. I only agreed to payment once for a big project, because I was happy to help out as a fan.

Memories of Mitch:

  • I only saw him live in Ontario, CA about a year before he died and wish I’d gotten to meet him in person.
  • I still keep in contact with his wife Lynn Shawcroft from time to time.
  • Got to meet Mitch’s parents at a tribute show Lynn put together with other comedians like Doug Benson and Chris Porter; took some friends from Rubicon with me to that show.
  • Took my wife to the “Do You Believe In Gosh?” release party that Lynn put on a year or so after that and got to see Mitch’s film, Los Enchiladas.

I haven’t been involved in Mitch’s site for a year or two now, and they’ve done a great redesign, you should check it out. Order some cd’s and enjoy the laughs.
