I live in an apartment with a balcony and looking for storage solutions to get my bike up out of the way. I’ve used a vertical bike hook at my office (we have a whole rack of them for people who bike in), which seems to work great, but I’m wondering if long term that causes any rim damage, or if I should consider something else given the front fork and the disc brakes on the Timberline 1.0 that I got last month.

I’m currently eyeballing something like a Sette vertical hook. I bought a few hooks from Home Depot yesterday thinking I’d install them in the roof of my balcony and hang the bike upside down but then read that doing so could cause issues with the brakes or fork, so I’m looking for something else I can purchase/install within the next week.
