I’m looking at a few different CMS/blog/wiki applications to install on my site instead of what I’ve written by hand. Frankly, I’ve learned about as much as I could with it.

None of the packages I’m evaluating are “XHTML 1.1 Strict” compliant, so I’m sure I’ll have some work ahead of me.

I’ll be evaluating them offline and see what I can do about putting these old journal entries into the system so I don’t lose any of this info.

Main reason: traffic to the site is increasing and I’d enjoy having a new look and feel to the site if I’m attracting this many readers.

It's all about closing tags, basically, and forcing you to really understand what you're trying to accomplish. I'll have to look around for some truly compliant XHTML authoring software ...

obviously, geeklog isn’t xhtml 1.1 strict compliant, so that’ll give me something to do in all that spare time i have
