Good Review of BJ2 with Windows Mobile 6.1

Matthew Miller at ZDNET wrote up a very thorough review of the BJ2 running Windows Mobile 6.1. While the bulk of his review talks about the features of the BJ2 overall, he does mention the features of Windows Mobile 6.1 quite a bit.

Skyfire Beta Review

After downloading the CAB directly onto my BJ2 via Opera Mobile, I installed the program and launched it right away. It prompted me for the Email address and password I used to register as part of the beta program. It immediately returned with a message that a data connection to skyfire was lost, and promptly exited for me.

I restarted the browser from the start menu, and the program takes a handful of seconds to load (slower than Opera Mobile in my experience), but loaded a home page once it started up.

Skyfire Beta Download

I was notified today of the Skyfire Beta download for the BJ2. Since it's still in sorta-kinda-pre-Beta stage, I don't really want to publish the URL for everyone.

I'll follow up with a review soon.

AT&T leak: WM6.1 Upgrade for BJ2 due this month, and a BJ3 for Christmas

I found this article and thought it was definitely worth sharing:

http://www.geardiary.com/2008/07/01/att-roadmap-for-2008-blackjack-3-wi-...

I just received an email from one of our readers whose been full of good info in the past. They’re apparently privvy to the AT&T roadmap for 2008. Most of the information seems to agree with what’s been speculated about. Lots of WM 6.1 refreshes and some slightly updated models

And the best part:

Samsung Blackjack 2 6.1 upgrade due in July

AOL Releases 2nd Beta release of Mobile AIM client

From the article:

AIM for Windows Mobile brings all of the best features of AIM on your PC to your Windows Mobile smartphone! AIM for Windows Mobile lets you communicate whenever you want, wherever you are, in whatever way suits you best - IM or text. Update your AIM status and information when you're on the go. Change your conversation style, manage your Buddy List, and much more. AIM Windows Mobile Smartphone has many of the same key features and a familiar look-and-feel of the desktop AIM client.

New Site Layout

As you can see, the site got a facelift today. I might tweak more of the layout later today, and I have a few potential ad networks that will replace all those tacky flashy blinky ads that show up despite me not wanting them. Thanks for your patience.

As for the overall advertising, I'm simply just trying to make enough to support my hosting costs. My goal is to make them unobtrusive (if possible) but still support the site financially.
