Looks like a second wave of invites is going out, perhaps? I just got an Email today saying I can buy a ticket. Sadly, I cannot attend now; I made other plans after receiving the initial rejection.

  1. The invite codes are transferable up until after you purchase a ticket via eventbrite. If you have a friend or know someone that wants to go buy was unable to get a ticket, you could forward the email to them and they could purchase a ticket through eventbrite. (I'm not asking for the invite, just letting you know in case you have a friend wanting to go too).

  2. +Josh Wilson Would you please provide a link to where one can find out more about Eventbrite ticketing for Google IO . The only thing I see them selling tickets for are extended events and not for Google IO itself. I doubt very seriously that you would be able to purchase tickets to or get an invite for Google IO from Eventbrite

  3. +Michael ONeal no offense, but you are seriously out of the loop on this one. That's exactly what google is doing this time. All ticket sales are done via Eventbrite for I/O and are provisioned via unique codes given to each person a ticket was offered to. You complete purchase and everything via eventbrite. The listing does not show up in search, but here's the link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/google-io-2015-registration-16108243189

  4. I believe the reason they haven't appeared on eBay is that every single ticket has a unique code, and they know who they sent every code to, meaning they would know who was selling their code and could perma-ban them from ever receiving a code again. That, paired with them being much more selective about whom receives an invite and the general lack of public knowledge of code transferability results in less/none of the codes being listed for sale.
