Well I’ve imported about 200+ WordPress articles into my personal blog and nearly 100 e107 articles for my tech blog and came to realize that neither e107 or WordPress play well with SilverStripe in terms of what the article content looks like in the database. I’ve had to go back through and do search-and-replace operations on database rows to fix images (which broke and/or erased almost all of them) or to fix links etc. There’s still some work to be done but finding a full-time job right now is my priority, so I’ll be spending more time on that in the next week than fixing my blog.
The colors of my blog still look a little funky too — I’m waiting on one of my graphic designers to build a new top banner for the site, but I’m thinking that I might look at a few different WordPress themes and play with some different layouts over the next month or so. Which means I’ll add it to my technical to-do list for 2008 entry next.
